Questions about Yoga? Pose one.
By Kimberly Fowler
Well, I have to say I’m excited about this new website. I’m hoping it will be a safe haven for people who want a non-intimidating and practical approach to Yoga. Or as Dr. Sanjay Gupta from CNN put it, “yoga without the granola.”
I started the site to get the word out about The No OM Zone DVD and upcoming book. But I realized I also wanted it to be interactive: People from all over the world email me asking questions about Yoga—questions I know many of you might have. I want thenoomzone.com to be a place I can answer some of them.
So ask away, I’d love to hear from you. For now, please post questions in the comments (after posts) or email them to info@thenoomzone.com. They can be general questions about Yoga or about specific poses or even about how to find a Yoga studio in your area. No question is too silly or stupid. I’m here for you.
I know that thousands of you from all over the place have bought the Yoga for Athletes® DVD. Can you do me favor and post a photo of yourself with the DVD in our new YAS Fitness Flickr group? I would love to see you!
And another thing: If you have friends who you know would benefit from doing Yoga but who have been turned off to it for one reason or another, please send them here.
The No OM Zone is all about making people comfortable with Yoga, about demystifying it and welcoming the non-pretzel people of the world to a really rewarding practice. I’ll be talking here all about getting started with Yoga—from what to wear to your first class to the do’s and don’ts and “Yoga etiquette”—so anyone can feel like a pro walking into her or his first class.
And that’s just for starters. Hope you’ll stay tuned. (Subscribing to our RSS feed is great for that!)
